Mr. Pramod Basnet
Program Coordinator and Public Liaison Officer, MDN

Namaste,

My name is Pramod Basnet. Recently I have joined Make a Difference Nepal (MDN) as a “Program Coordinator and Public Liaison Officer”.
I would like to introduce myself by this quote, “I am a small man from a small country with big dreams.” I believe everyone sees a dream which motivates them to work hard every day and achieve what they have thought would be best for their life. Hence to contribute and be a part of a greater change in the societal development, I decided to join the team of Make a Difference Nepal (MDN).

Being a newest member in the team, I am opening my world of learning and growing each day. This journey has brought lots of memorable experiences in a short period of time. I've discovered how important it is to be a member of a community. Villagers' willingness to make a positive change is supported by an organization (staff). It is also crucial for an organization to listen to their voices without any pre- assumed beliefs.

I have completed an internship at the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) in 2019. Then I worked in Nepal Airlines Corporation in the position of “Turn Around Coordinator/Ramp Supervisor”. I also hold a license CAT-10 Dangerous Goods (DG) and Safety Management System (SMS). I also completed Basic Air Ticketing Reservation System (Galileo) accredited by International Air Transport Association (IATA). I am an undergraduate student enrolled in Bachelor in Hospitality Business Management (accredited from City and Guilds, UK). I have completed high school in Travel and Tourism (Nepal). I also hold a diploma in Aviation Management (accredited from City and Guilds, UK).

I believe MDN will provide me a platform to put my theoretical knowledge into practice and support my exposure to wider communities. I am determined to share my technical experiences with the team.
